February Pokémon Presents Presentation Streamed

Nintendo recently held a Pokémon Presents Presentation, which revealed some updates to existing Pokémon games and also revealed some new upcoming games.

First, Nintendo revealed a montage of the franchise starting from the Red and Blue in 1996 all the way up to today.

 

Next, the presentation transitioned to Takato Utsunomiya of The Pokémon Company. The first game featured in the presentation was New Pokémon Snap. The game will feature the player who will be exploring the Lental Region. Players will be using tools such as the Lumina Orb in other to create a variety of photos. During the adventure, Professor Mirror along with his assistants, Rita and Phil, will help the player along the way. The game will feature a photo editor, which includes stickers and a variety of different options. Players can also share their photos online. New Pokémon Snap will be released on April 30.

 

Third, the presentation revealed some events that will be happening in Pokémon Sword and Shield as well as some of the mobile games. In Pokémon Sword and Shield a Gigantamax Pikachu event will be held until February 28. Then for Pokémon Café Mix, players will receive 2,500 Golden Acorn Points. In Pokémon Go, players can fight off against the Kanto legendary birds as well as Mewtwo. Whereas, in Pokémon Masters EX, players will now be able to challenge Leon.

 

Fourth, the presentation finally revealed the long awaited remakes to Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl. For those who are not aware, the games were the main Pokémon titles that were released in 2006 for the Nintendo DS. The remakes will be known as Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Brilliant Pearl. The games will launch for the Nintendo Switch worldwide in Late 2021.

 

Lastly, the presentation also revealed a new game that will be featured within the Sinnoh Region. The game will be an action RPG and will allow players to freely adventure the land and capture Pokémon on the field. Additionally, players will be able to fight in battles as well. The game will also feature Rowlet, Cyndaquil, and Oshawatt as starters making it the first game to have a mixed selection of starters from the various regions at the same time. The game will be titled, Pokémon Legends Arceus and will be released worldwide in Early 2022.
